The implementation of
the Strategic Efforts include specific lines of action, the
purposes of which are described below:

Restoration
of Buildings
|
Heritage appreciation: to restore heritage
works, environmental management and improved safety
conditions. From November 1999, through May 2001, the
facades of fourteen buildings have been restored, with
an area of 18,400 m2.

Heritage Promotion: includes
all the dissemination activities about Sewell's historical
and cultural values, such as the promotion of and participation
in seminars, congresses, lectures, exhibitions, cultural
and community events, etc.

Sewell's candidacy to be
considered a Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO:
This includes the preparation of value, historical
and management documentary support to back up the
candidacy. This information has been prepared according
to the presentation guidelines required by UNESCO.

Agreement with
the Cardoen Foundation for the Museum
of Mining |
|
Museum
of Large-Scale Copper Mining, whose purpose
is to acknowledge Sewell's importance in the development
of large-scale copper mining in Chile and, in turn,
to show the contribution of this activity to the economic
and social development of the country.

Finally, the Strategic
Action Plan is the "navigation chart" that shows
us the course to be taken so that Sewell may be preserved,
known, and enjoyed forever.
